THE CITY OF GOLD CHRISTMAS CUP

is open to all skaters.

NOTE: Skaters participating in the Christmas Cup do not have to be SAFSA members.

Solo Skaters/Solo Ice Dancers – R 321.00

Solo Skaters/Solo Ice Dancers – additional programs per person  (duos, trios, groups) – R 50.00 per program

(example: solo skater is taking part in trio : R 321+R50)

Duo Only – R 281 per duo

Trio Only – R 341 per trio

Synchro – R 1 301

Duo/Trio/Groups/Synchro – additional programs per person  (solo) – R 50.00 per program

(example:  skater from duo is taking part in solo : R 281+R50)

Attire

Skaters may select to skate in appropriately themed attire – Competition  or Festive themed outfit.

Programme Length

Please use your regular programme length of music as in keeping with the season of giving – a stopwatch will not be used.

 

PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS

Judging

Programmes will be judged using the 9.9 system.

LATE ENTRIES AND CORRECTIONS

Please note that late entries will not be accepted after closing date:

26 November, 2022 by 20:00.

In the event of incorrect and/or illegible submission of entry forms, PPC Forms, POP; incorrectly marked music; music in wrong format, a fine of R120.00 per item will be levied.

REFUNDS AND WITHDRAWALS

NOTE: Due to costs incurred in running the competition, please be advised that NO REFUNDS  will be granted after 20:00 on 26 November, 2022, this includes if you have medical reasons or not.

MUSIC

Skaters may use their regular music or a Christmas themed song.

MUSIC must be submitted IN MP3 FORMAT ONLY and sent to competitions@cgfigureskating.co.za  before the closing date – 26 November, 2022 by 20:00.

Music must be marked as following:

Skater’s Name & Surname – Section 

Incorrectly marked piece of music and music in wrong format won’t be accepted and a fine of R120.00 per item will be levied

AWARDS


Competitors will receive a medal, certificate and a Christmas gift.

Various special awards across all the sections.

TOSSIES

You will be able to buy a gift for a skater at the rink.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Photographs of every skater will be taken during the competition. This is an “order, print and pay” service available only on the night of the competition, directly provided by photographer.

BEHAVIOUR

While participating in any competition, carnival, exhibition or program as a figure skater, the skater:

  • shall not possess, use or supply to others any alcohol, narcotics or prescribed drugs while at, within or near the site of such competition, carnival, exhibition or program or any residence or other accommodations provided in connection therewith or while being transported to or from such locations;
  • shall not conduct himself or herself in an unreasonable or unacceptable manner (which for clarity shall mean and include unsportsmanlike conduct, breaking training or curfew, will fully damaging property or committing any act which is considered an offence under any duly promulgated law); and
  • shall not be in breach of any rules of conduct promulgated by SAFSA.
